This marks the fourth collaboration that features the iconic comic character Popeye, known for his signature catchphrase, “I yam what’s I yam and dats all what’s I am.” This limited edition timepiece infuses nostalgia by bringing the classic Popeye character to life on the wrist with modern flair. It reflects the fusion of Popeye’s ‘ready-for-anything’ attitude and RESERVOIR’s bold design ethos. The watch showcases an animated version of Popeye, reimagined in a desert landscape with a camel replacing his traditional boat, dressed as a pirate under a starlit sky with a crescent moon. The design echoes desert vastness with its deep blue hues and embodies the spirit of adventure and boldness that Popeye has represented since his first appearance on January 17, 1929. With a PVD gold case reminiscent of vintage navigational tools, the watch includes a retrograde minute display and a jumping hour complication, both signature elements of RESERVOIR watches. The timepiece is powered by the RESERVOIR Caliber RSV-240, developed in spring 2022 in partnership with Swiss engine manufacturer TELOS. This movement, with a 56-hour power reserve, is optimized for the unique timekeeping style of RESERVOIR. This RESERVOIR x Popeye Camel UAE Edition is limited to 100 pieces, each numbered and presented in a white wooden box featuring “The Popeye Family” and the RESERVOIR and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons logos.
