The Levitas Moon Phases watch has a movement with a ‘mysterious’ time display system with an additional moonphase complication. The moonphase aperture is rotated 90 degrees compared to the traditional orientation, so that the curved edge of the aperture looks like a ‘3’. This is why Konstantin Chaykin decided to place this indicator at 3 o’clock position, giving the watch a sophisticated, memorable look. The opaque part of the Levitas Moon Phases dial has a classic finish with two types of ‘guilloche’ relief decoration with applied indexes and Arabic numerals. The crescent shape of the dial once again draws attention to the most important feature of a watch – the transparenterious’ dial. The round metal cap with the logo in the center of the transparent dial conceals a miniature motion work – the secret of Konstantin Chaykin’s ‘mysterious’ time display system, in which a single rotating sapphire disc drives two hands. The sapphire exhibition caseback of the Levitas Moon Phases watch draws attention to the ‘mysterious’ dial and the crescent-shaped caliber surrounding the transparent zone. The Levitas Moon Phases watch has two main options, with a case in 18k rose gold or in stainless steel. Case dimensions: Diameter 44 mm, 9.9 mm thick There is something special about observing the watch being built. It is not just a mechanical process, but a true art in which the meticulous work of the master craftsman is combined with the precision of technical thinking. Assembling a watch is something that can fascinate, inspire and convey a sense of wonder. The caliber K.02-1 of the Levitas Moon Phases watch was designed by Konstantin Chaykin and equipped with the ‘mysterious’ time indication system he developed. The movement is made entirely in Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture according to the standards of haute horlogerie, using traditional techniques for finishing the components: Côtes de Genève, perlage, fine straight and circular grinding, hand-polished chamfers, engravings, polished screw, pin and jewel recesses, ball polishing of the pivots and rhodium plating. The special features of the movement are its crescent shape with a maximum ratio between the diameter of the transparent dial and the diameter of the movement and moonphase indicator shaped as ‘3’ marker. Caliber: K.02-1, hand-wound, made by Konstantin Chaykin Manufacture Power reserve: 33 hours Functions: – Hours and minutes on the ‘mysterious’ transparent dial; – Moonphase indicator.
