The PEQUIGNET Concorde Damas x Matthias Marc is a limited edition that brings together fine watchmaking and high-end gastronomy in a way that feels natural. Created with Michelin-starred chef Matthias Marc, this version of the Concorde stands out with a strong identity and a clear story behind it. Limited to just 50 pieces, it reflects the shared values between Marc and the French manufacture, including precision, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the Franche-Comté region. This is a watch shaped by genuine involvement from both sides. What immediately sets this Concorde apart is the use of Damascus steel for both the dial and bezel. Typically found in chef’s knives, this material brings texture, depth, and individuality, with each dial showing completely unique patterns. It is also challenging to work with, as Damascus steel is layered and complex, requiring careful machining and polishing to reveal its signature look without damaging it. The 4N gold-plated indices add a subtle warmth that contrasts with the darker steel tones, giving the watch a refined but slightly unconventional feel that quietly nods to Marc’s culinary world. Inside, the watch is powered by the in-house Calibre Initial®, offering a 65-hour power reserve and smooth automatic winding. The familiar Concorde design remains, with its distinctive case shape and integrated bracelet keeping things modern and easy to wear. Turn the watch over and a sapphire case back reveals the movement along with a handwritten phrase chosen by Marc, «Balance is built, harmony is lived»., adding a personal touch. It also comes with a rubber strap, a Damascus steel pocket knife, and a leather presentation case inspired by a chef’s roll, making the whole package feel complete and thoughtfully put together.
