Combining the collection’s most authentic dial with a “modern” Nylon strap, the “Original Nylon” blends vintage and contemporary elements. The factory-fresh A-11 look from 1942 retains its vintage, no-frills design. The Nylon strap complements the field watch aesthetics while adding a modern touch, similar to what you’d find on today’s field watches. The matte black dial with white-silver indexes ensures exceptional legibility, a necessity given the operational demands during WW2. The distinctive minute and hour indexes harken back to the era when these watches were hand-painted. All those minute imperfections in this model have been retained to preserve the authenticity of an original. The case is available in either a 32mm or in a 40mm size. The main case body is sandblasted to eliminate any gloss, in true field watch fashion. However, as a nod to the original shiny chrome plating found on most A-11s, the lugs are polished. The Brown tressed Nylon strap strongly emphasizes the original field watch look while giving it a more rugged appearance. The Nylon tressing adds thickness to the watch, enhancing its robust feel (you’ll notice it on your wrist as it breaks in!) and bringing it into the modern era post-WW2.
