Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Kross Studio have joined forces once again, this time to celebrate the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy movie. Named the Space Jam Tourbillon, this watch embodies the ethos of the Tune Squad, pushing boundaries and injecting playful nostalgia into every detail. At the heart of the watch lies the KS 7’000 caliber, developed entirely in-house by Kross Studio. The absence of a traditional regulator allows for a visually striking central tourbillon cage reminiscent of a basketball, which dominates the piece. The attention to detail is evident throughout, with each watch’s 281 components meticulously handcrafted to ensure precision and finesse. The skeletonized design offers a glimpse into the watch’s inner workings, revealing intricate details such as basketball-inspired wheels and a tourbillon cage adorned with a basketball-like structure. The watch comes with two interchangeable straps—a deep blue calfskin leather option and a laser-abraded rubber strap that mimics the texture of a basketball. The Space Jam Collector Set also includes a functional art piece called the Kross Studio B-BALL, which mirrors the basketball culture and theme of “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” The sculpture resembles a basketball, with eleven wooden layers forming a mesmerizing effect around a central pillar. The watch can be stored within the sculpture and accessed by lifting the ball upward. The sculpture’s stand features the Tune Squad characters, giving a glimpse into the Space Jam Tourbillon’s theme. It’s made to be interactive, so collectors can take it off its base and feel like they’re part of the Space Jam world. Only 10 of these sculptures are made, and each one comes in a special wooden box with a certificate and gloves.
