NOMOS Glashütte refreshes one of its most recognisable designs with the Tangente neomatik 38 Update, revealed at Watches and Wonders 2026. The big change? A new 38.5mm case that feels just right on the wrist, neither too large nor too small. It keeps the clean Bauhaus look the Tangente is known for, but now wears even more comfortably as an everyday dress watch. For the first time, you can also get it in 18k gold, alongside the classic stainless steel version. Whether you want something minimal for daily use or a warmer, more elevated feel, there’s now an option to match. The NOMOS Tangente neomatik 38 Update, has a very clever ring date display. Instead of a small date window, the entire month circles the dial, with two red markers pointing to the current day. It’s simple, easy to read, and genuinely different. This award-winning feature is powered by the in-house DUW 6101 automatic movement, designed to stay slim while still packing in functionality. The date mechanism sits around the edge of the movement, helping keep the case impressively thin at just 7.4mm, while still offering quick date adjustment and smooth automatic winding. Like all NOMOS watches, the Tangente neomatik 38 Update is made in Glashütte, Germany, with a strong focus on quality and precision. Each movement is built in-house and carefully adjusted for accuracy, so it’s as reliable as it is refined. The new gold version adds a fresh twist to a long-standing favourite, bringing a bit more warmth and presence without losing that clean, modern feel. In both steel and gold, this is a watch that feels thoughtful, well-made, and easy to wear for years to come.
