Pequignet unveils the Royale Paris Chrono, its first manufacture chronograph, introduced at Watches and Wonders 2026. This new sports watch builds on the Royale Paris collection and marks an important step in the brand’s comeback. Inspired by French watchmaking heritage, it pays tribute to the chronograph, first invented in France in the early nineteenth century. Fully designed, developed and assembled in house, it reflects Pequignet’s focus on precision, reliability and strong technical expertise. Inside is the new Calibre Initial Chronograph, based on the brand’s existing in house movement. Developed with the support of a respected Swiss specialist, it offers a slim profile while maintaining high performance. The movement is carefully adjusted in six positions for accuracy and finished with modern decorative techniques such as satin brushing, graining and perlage. An openworked rotor with a fleur de lys detail adds visual interest, while most components are produced locally near the Morteau workshops, highlighting the brand’s commitment to regional craftsmanship. The design stays true to the Royale Paris style, with its distinctive lugs and a well balanced case shape. The dial is easy to read, featuring a textured centre that plays nicely with light, surrounded by subtle rings and a tachymeter scale. Two chronograph counters create a clean and balanced layout, while the cam operated system ensures durability and smooth use. Available with blue or red accents, the Royale Paris Chrono offers a practical, sporty look with a refined edge, making it a strong addition to modern French watchmaking.
