The Lunar Chronograph Aurora marks a new chapter for Chronoswiss, reimagining one of its most recognisable models for the Modern Mechanical era. First introduced in 1999, the Lunar Chronograph became known for its balanced integration of chronograph, date, and moon phase complications. The Aurora preserves that identity while refreshing its presence with a distinctly contemporary tone. The transformation begins with the dial. Fully CVD-coated, it shifts between deep green and vibrant blue depending on the light, echoing the aurora borealis that gives the watch its name. A central chronograph seconds hand works alongside 30-minute and 12-hour counters for clear, precise timing. At 3 o’clock, the moon phase adds a poetic celestial note, while a central analogue date circles the dial’s perimeter and small seconds at 9 o’clock maintain visual balance. White hands cut cleanly across the surface, reinforcing legibility against the dial’s dynamic tones. Housed in a 41 mm polished stainless-steel case with the brand’s signature onion crown and screwed lugs, the Aurora features heritage details with modern refinement. A grey nubuck strap completes the look, adding understated elegance. Inside, the automatic Caliber C.755 delivers a 46-hour power reserve, visible through the sapphire case back. The result is a confident evolution, classic complications, contemporary execution, and mechanical integrity at its core.
