The Astronomia already features four rotating satellite arms carry an off-centred hours and minutes dial, a 288-facet 1-carat Jacob-cut diamond spinning on itself every 60 seconds, a magnesium Earth globe also rotating every 60 seconds, and a double-axis flying tourbillon completing its first axis in 60 seconds and its second in 10 minutes — all orbiting a central axis under a towering domed sapphire crystal. Then Jacob went ahead and put a fully functional 37-pocket roulette wheel at the base of the whole thing. Activate the pusher and a white ceramic ball launches inside the wheel, rattling across red, black and green lacquered numbered pockets until it lands. It is genuinely insane, and genuinely impressive.
