This is the second chronograph that was designed by F.A. Porsche. If his first effort - the Chronograph 1 manufactured by Orfina - is the "911 of watches" (which is how Porsche Design markets $9600 modern version of it today), then this effort is the 928 of watches. This was the first chronograph made in titanium, a major technical accomplishment for the early 1980s. It was manufactured by IWC all the way up to the 1990s. This particular example was confirmed by IWC to have been originally manufactured in 1983. IWC still services and supports these watches, and this was serviced by IWC in 2025. The service papers will be sent with the watch and are available upon request before purchase. The watch is in near mint condition. There are a few wear marks on the bracelet as shown in the pictures. The watch also comes with the last iteration of the integrated bracelet that IWC designed. There are three iterations of the bracelet. The earlier versions had more unique pins that are not very robust. This last iteration uses more traditional pins. The watch bracelet is sized for a 7.25-7.3 inch wrist. There are no extra links.
