Black porcelain 12-hour dial with Luminous* hands and numbers, small white sub-second dial at the six with 60 second markings. Case back is engraved with broad arrow over G.S.T.P. over L9037. Fully working 15J Swiss movement with sub-seconds function stamped 259. Watch is 50mm dia. x 5mm case depth with 75mm overall length, weight is 3 oz. Pocketwatch is stored and displayed in a uniquely designed padded and leather covered metal clamshell case. The 8 x 10cm hinged case has a watch dial window, button clasp, easel stand and rounded corners to easily slide into uniform pockets. The clamshell opposite the window has a pocketwatch cradle specific to secure this watch and display the time. The condition of this pocketwatch is excellent having all original components. Some small surface scratching on the case is the only indication of use. It is clean with no oxidation, rust or corrosion on the movement or inside the case. * Radium paint used on face markings. The condition of the display case is phenomenal. Still in original condition, having only scuffs and scratches to show it's 80 yrs and been to war. This case design is sublime and its marriage to the watch is craftsmanship we haven't seen in commonly issued items since that time.
