We are offering this stunning timepiece for sale: a rare Bulova Saltarello (internationally known as the Bulova Jumping Hour “Doctor’s Watch,” reference 8.098.1.0.10) dating from the late 1980s/early 1990s. It is a manual-winding mechanical model featuring a rectangular Art Deco “Tank”-style design. Jumping Hour complication: the watch lacks the traditional hour hand. The current hour is displayed via a numeric jump mechanism within the upper red window positioned at 12 o’clock. The minutes are indicated by the central hand within the main square, while the seconds are displayed in the lower round sub-dial at 6 o’clock. This visual separation was historically appreciated by doctors for accurately monitoring heartbeats without distractions (hence the nickname “Doctor’s Watch”). The yellow gold-plated case measures 28 mm excluding the crown, 42 mm between the lugs, and is 9 mm thick. Yellow gold-plated case, champagne-colored dial with Arabic numerals, and a high-quality Swiss movement (often the Bulova FHFC 158011 caliber) visible through the transparent case back. Includes a vintage leather strap and a generic buckle, plus an original Bulova strap. All our watches are serviced before being put up for sale and tested before shipping to ensure your new timepiece functions properly. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will respond as soon as possible. Thank you.
