A very rare Dodane watch manufactured under manufacturer reference 4534-13. At the request of the Ministry of Defense, this chronometer was put into service in 1980 specifically to equip the intelligence group leaders of the 13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment (13e rdp). Equipped with a Valjoux 7734 movement with 17 jewels and manual winding, on a midnight blue dial with red chronograph hands, it features a black aluminum case (for protection and discretion in night combat) treated with DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface oxidation using a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process. It is fitted with its original black plastic strap made for the army. This watch, which bears the military number 80 xx xx, was produced in a limited edition of 100 by the prestigious Dodane brand of pilot's chronometers and destroyed by the army's reform services. Only 10 to 12 examples (which escaped destruction) remain in the world today. It was serviced in 2022 by a watchmaker specializing in vintage military watches. A very robust watch, in very good condition considering its use by paratroopers of the 13th rdp, it is a highly prized piece among collectors of military watches.
