This Diver 1964 model reflects its proud history, reproducing the original design of the Olympia Calendar Diver model released in 1964, with an update to the specifications of contemporary diving watches. This model combines a vintage design with Orient Star's latest high-performance in-house movement. The Diver 1964 reproduces the same features as the original model: a solid stainless steel rotating bezel, three-dimensional cut indices, arrow-shaped hands, and a case shape with sharp lugs, while offering significantly improved water resistance compared to the 40 meters of the original model. The water resistance of this new model has been increased to 200 meters, in accordance with ISO standards for diving watches. Refined qualities such as the screw-down crown and case back, and double-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, are necessary to meet the standards of authentic diving watches. Unlike the manual-winding movement of the original 1964 model, this new model is equipped with a contemporary automatic movement for greater usability. Another new feature is the indicator showing the remaining power reserve of 50 hours. The relatively compact 40.2 mm diameter case, pure steel rotating bezel, and silver dial create a understated look that makes it ideal for everyday wear.
