Vintage mechanical Rotary watch, blue dial with raise steel markers. Probably a 229 model dating from the 1970s. The signed dial has its original hands and seconds sweep. There is also a date display at 3 o’clock. A quick Google search suggests that the watch employs an early form of quickset where the hands are moved repeatedly backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 9pm. The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding Swiss movement which is working well over the course of the afternoon. The movement is stamped ST with a marking of 1950/51 The watch measures about 36/37mm wide excluding the crown. The case is stainless steel and is in pretty good vintage condition, with some light scratches and marks that can be seen upon close inspection. The crystal has some scratches. The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet, probably the original, which currently fits a 170mm wrist. Watch supplied in green leatherette presentation box
