The movements are produced in Sion, Switzerland and all components are assembled outside of Zurich, Switzerland, making them truly Swiss Made. In 2014, WatchStar won the Swiss award for most creative use of a movement. A Swiss made movement, the A007WS, with five programmable micro-motors marks an important milestone in WatchStar’s history. At the top of each hour the Golf Players animate for ten seconds and then return to their set position. The timepiece is amazingly beautiful for 59 minutes and 59 seconds but when the minute hand hits 12 and the Golfers become animated, giving the watch a wrist presence and conversation piece like no other. The bezel is a three-dimensional wonder extending to the ends where a five-pointed star is meticulously placed into the two-piece lugs. The case is matte brushed while the bezel and caseback are polished creating a natural fluidity with the star bracelet. A four screw caseback is reversed etched with the image of a gold ball and a pair of clubs. The whole timepiece strikes a balance of cutting-edge sophisticated looks and advanced technology. It's very easy to see how a lot of engineering has gone into this design. To make a watch with such large dimensions easy to wear is no small achievement. A 48mm case to showcase the incredible dial. Yet a watch this size is only 15mm thick and weighs 238gr with all the links. The manageable 15mm height combined with 27mm bracelet and aggressively turned down end links keeps everything well balanced on the wrist. At the same time, the laser cut stars in the bracelet give it a beautiful look while reducing weight. The bullhead crown at 12 :00 also adds to the comfort of this watch. This watch wears better than many 45mm dive watches with helium escape valves. A dive watch will be just as heavy, but can be thicker due to a thicker caseback. In addition, a taller dive watch may only have a 22mm or 24mm bracelet , they are not as balanced on the wrist.
