The watch is in good original condition with the usual signs of wear for age, working and keeping good time. Manufacturer: Philip Watch – Chaux de Fonds Model: Caribbean 1000 702 Diver - Automatic ETA movement Case: Jenny Caribbean 702 case, 39mm across the bakelite bezel, not including the crown. 38mm solid stainless steel mono-bloc Jenny case. Bezel: Original Bakelite black divers bezel. The bezel rotates freely in both directions. Please note that there has been a previous repair to the bakelite insert of bezel, leaving some cracks. Despite this, all sections of the original insert are remaining (please see photos). Case Back: There is age related wear to the reverse making it difficult to read the original writing. Movement: 17 jewel automatic ETA movement. I have not opened the case, but I believe the movement for this period would be an ETA 2472. Working well an time Dial: in place and the original lume markers are also present but with some aging. Date aperture at 3 o’clock. Crown: Original screw down large divers winding crown. Crystal: Original thick domed acrylic crystal in good condition Strap: High quality ABP concept (Atelier du Bracelet Parisien) vintage style dark brown 20mm leather strap with an original stainless steel Philip Watch buckle. Buckle: Original period stainless steel Philip Watch buckle signed ‘PW’ in distinctive script. Measures approx: 43mm including the crown, 39mm not including the crown across the bezel, 45mm lug to lug, 14.6mm thickness including the domed crystal.
