The Cartier Tank Mini reference 1063 is a rare and highly elusive expression of Cartier’s “Montres Joaillerie” tradition. Produced likely until the late 1990s or early 2000s, this diamond-set Mini Tank represents a discreet and refined chapter within Cartier’s design history, created in very limited numbers and never widely documented in official catalogues. While the Tank Louis Cartier remains the house’s most recognised icon, these smaller gem-set variations were reserved for select boutiques and private clientele. As a result, references such as 1063 are extremely difficult to trace today, existing as subtle and highly collectible variations within the broader Tank family. This example stands out immediately through its fully diamond-set case, complemented by a matching diamond cabochon crown. Cartier traditionally fitted its classic models with a sapphire cabochon, but in its joaillerie executions the crown was elevated with diamonds, transforming the watch from an elegant timepiece into a true jewel. This detail alone significantly enhances its exclusivity and positioning within Cartier’s high jewellery universe. The watch is fitted with its original Cartier 18k folding deployant clasp. Due to the vintage nature of this clasp and the precision required for an optimal fit, the watch is currently shown on its existing strap. Together with the new owner, we will select a Made-to-Order strap through our specialist artisan partners. This Tank Mini is offered in excellent condition and is accompanied by its original Cartier box, papers, and service documentation. Fully serviced and carefully preserved, it will be delivered with our extensive two-year mechanical warranty.
