An exceptionally heavy and unique Glashütte hunting case pocket watch featuring a minute repeater and perpetual calendar. Housed in an extremely rare and impressive 18K gold case, signed and numbered J. Assmann Glashütte No. 16953. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, signed J. Assmann Glashütte I/SA. Important movement featuring a high-grade Glashütte mechanism with nine complications, including: Perpetual calendar, Moon phase and moon age, Chronograph with 30-minute counter, Minute repeater with polished steel hammers striking on a coiled gong. The movement is signed and numbered J. Assmann Glashütte I/SA No. 16953, with a lever escapement, gold lever and escape wheel, bi-metallic compensation balance, finely engraved balance cock and precision swan-neck regulator. The movement is protected by a dust cover glass. Condition: Very good, with minimal signs of wear.
