This is a very collectible and rare Panerai PAM 02 Luminor Base model stainless steel watch. It is an A series which was the first series of this model in which only 1000 were created in 1998. Making it special is that it has tritium painted dial, and the hands are painted in tritium too. The next series was a B series which was painted with Luminova. The tritium paint has turned a nice cream color giving this older model watch a vintage appearance. Panerai collectors appreciate the simplicity of the looks and function of this watch. It has a hand wound Swiss ETA movement (modified for/by Panerai) which winds easily. The Panerai patented locking crown gives it the unmistakable Italian brand classic look.
