This is a beautiful gold plated Elgin alarm watch with a stainless steel back in outstanding original condition. The 35mm gold plated case was treated very well over the years and shows normal wear but no wear through the gold plating. The stainless caseback shows a few very innocuous scratches. The original silver dial is extremely clean and all lume plots are intact. The date aperature at 3:00 is a useful complication. The original crowns are present and everything functions impeccably although I have no service history for the manually wound Swiss movement. A new brown Speidel driving strap has been fitted to the 18mm lugs.
