When it comes to watch comfort, people tend to fall into two camps: those who like a reassuring weight on the wrist, and those who prefer something so light you barely notice it. The Czapek & Cie Antarctique Dark Sector Cosmic Blue leans firmly into the second category, thanks to its titanium construction. Strong, lightweight, and perfect for everyday wear, it was unveiled at Watches and Wonders Geneva as a fresh take on the modern luxury sports watch. It keeps all the signature Antarctique features, from the box-shaped sapphire crystal to the slim bezel and integrated bracelet with its distinctive C-shaped links. For the first time in titanium, you can choose between a fully brushed look or a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The bracelet also includes a micro-adjustment system for all-day comfort and an easy-release feature to quickly swap to the included rubber strap. The Czapek & Cie Antarctique Tourbillon Titanium Cosmic Blue is designed to put its mechanics centre stage. At its heart is Calibre 9, built so that the tourbillon, gear train, and barrel are all aligned vertically on the dial, appearing to float in full view. Beneath them sits the striking “Singularité” guilloché pattern, developed with Metalem, inspired by the concept of a cosmic singularity where space and time seem to disappear. In this titanium version, the deep Cosmic Blue dial adds even more visual impact, creating a sense of depth that draws your eye straight into the movement. The hour markers are positioned on the outer flange rather than the dial itself, enhancing the open, floating effect. Light plays beautifully across the hand-polished bridges and the satin-finished tourbillon cage, giving the watch a constantly shifting presence on the wrist. Flip the watch over, and the attention to detail continues. The 18k gold rotor, engraved with a black hole-inspired motif by master engraver Michèle R., mirrors the floating aesthetic seen on the front. Calibre 9 represents a major step for Czapek, as it is largely designed, produced, and finished in-house, showcasing real technical progress. From the complex titanium tourbillon cage to the newly developed gear system, every element feels purposeful. Housed in a 40.5mm titanium case and limited to just 25 pieces.
