Offered here is a very attractive vintage CYMA oversized manual wind wristwatch dating to the late 1940s / early 1950s. This watch houses the respected CYMA Calibre 414 movement and features a highly desirable oversized stainless steel case, measuring approximately 36mm wide with an impressive 46mm lug-to-lug span, making it exceptionally wearable by modern standards. Movement serial number: 171836 Possible case reference 18364 stamped inside caseback, along with internal number 343. The watch presents beautifully with: Original silver sunburst dial Rose gold applied Arabic numerals and indices Rose gold main hands and sub-seconds hand Small seconds at 6 o’clock Elegant bombe lugs Manual wind CYMA calibre 414 movement Stainless steel snap-back case The original dial remains especially clean overall with a warm silver tone and subtle champagne undertones. The combination of the silver dial and rose gold furniture gives the watch a refined two-tone appearance highly characteristic of upscale post-war Swiss dress watches. Under close inspection and certain lighting angles, two very small raised spots are visible on the dial surface, one located just above and slightly left of the CYMA logo (around the 11 o’clock area), and another between the 4 o’clock numeral and adjacent hour marker. These are likely related to the dial feet beneath the dial surface. They are minor, subtle in normal wear, and mentioned purely for transparency so buyers may review the high-resolution photos and judge for themselves. The case appears to have been lightly polished in the past but retains strong proportions, sharp lines, and excellent wrist presence. A new brown leather strap has been fitted for presentation.
