The company history of Roamer began in 1888 when Fritz Meyer started the production of watch parts in Solothurn, Switzerland. As the company Meyer & Stüdeli, the mst quality movements were manufactured from 1905. Later, the production of cases and dials was added. In 1952, the company was given its current brand name Roamer. At times, up to 1,200 employees worked in production, generating a turnover of 43 million Swiss francs.
