Fresh in store, an insanely rare Yves Saint Laurent tank watch with a fantastic history. I sourced this piece from the first owner whose father was a manager at Cartier in the 80’s : She wore the watch for a few years at that time, and then put it back in a safe along with its box, outer box and warranty card until today. You can still see beautiful oxidation marks on the case, caseback and flanks. This watch comes from an era where Cartier made and assembled several parts for other watchmakers like Baume & Mercier, or Yves Saint Laurent in this case. At that time, they also assembled “Reverso” YSL Tanks in 18kt gold. This one is in vermeil (silver with gold plating) and is basically a Tank Must with the same movement but another case shape and branding ! A fantastic piece of history, in fully working condition and freshly serviced. Comes with original YSL buckle, the YSL bracelet looks new !
