It was produced in July 1962 and delivered in Germany. His specificity is its extraordinarily rare grey dial, called “Grey Wide Minutes Scale”. In addition to its specific matte grey colour – its sunburst finish indicates that it is unlikely to be a faded version of the original black – its main feature is the minutes scale of a larger diameter than those of the conventional dials, thus located farther towards the edge of the dial. This gives rise to two significant differences: - the main indexes and the two luminous dots at 12 o’clock hardly touch the edge of the central zone; - the “SWISS MADE” inscription is extended to the very edge of the dial so that it becomes invisible at certain angles. The watch is in very good condition, and is fitted with its original 7912/6 steel bracelet. It represents an extremely rare opportunity for any Speedmaster collector. The watch comes with a specific appraisal book (we are the authors of the Moonwatch Only book) and an extract of archives from Omega.
