The Ancre brand is a trademark that was sold through specialist retailers from the early 1950s until the early 1970s. Most of them were produced by the Anker und Ruhla company in Saxony, and some were also produced in Glashütte by gub. I do not know the exact place of manufacture of the watch offered here, but it is one of the higher-quality models because it has 21 jewels and is coated with a layer of gold. The watch appears to have been worn only rarely, as it is in very good condition and the gold plating is still completely intact. The watch has been cleaned, oiled, and checked for accuracy by a watchmaker and still keeps good time. Overall, this is a very beautiful vintage watch and a real rarity that is sure to attract a lot of attention. It comes in a nostalgic watch box.
