Technical Features of the Depthomatic • The Depthomatic is a mechanical diver’s watch with an integrated mechanical depth gauge (bathymeter)—a very rare feature for watches of this era. • The depth gauge operates analogously without electronics: water enters through a small opening in the case/dial, and depending on the pressure, the water rises in a ring-shaped capillary tube, allowing the diving depth to be read. • The model features a stainless steel case approximately 44 mm in diameter, an aluminum bezel, and a Plexiglas (acrylic) crystal. • The Depthomatic is equipped with an internal bidirectional diving bezel and an automatic ETA Caliber 2472. No longer water-resistant!
