Magnificent Lemania 15 tl Chronograph Chronograph in superb condition from the famous Lemania brand founded in the 19th century by the Lugrin brothers in the Vallée de Joux. The Calibre 15 tl is signed Lemania, no. 36330 (probably produced around the time of the Second World War). Created in the '30s, the 15 tl features a column wheel and 17 jewels, and is the ancestor of the legendary Calibre 2310. The original guilloché dial is remarkable for its age. Its creamy-white, slightly raised numerals were probably redone a long time ago. The chocolate center and a copper-orange tachymeter scale give this timepiece an uncommon originality. The stainless steel case measures 38mm excluding the crown, and the two "olive" pushers are very elegant and characteristic of the brand. The strap is made of ostrich rvc (France) and, although slightly worn, its color harmonizes remarkably well with that of the tachometer. The cover is signed Lemania n° 55284. This magnificent chronograph is in perfect working order. The handling of the chrono for an 80-year-old timepiece is absolutely exceptional in its smoothness and quality. The signatures on the cover attest to many years of maintenance, and I have personally worn this watch with pleasure on numerous occasions over the past 20 years.
